Hi Thomas,

You can firstly check if you have the newest derived VOODOO drivers, released by developers after 3DFx sold out to nVidia... http://www.reactorcritical.com/download.shtml#1200

A great site for most video card drivers!

Reports are that TV out on the 3000 is 'dodgy'. I have seen and used the Voodoo but not the TV option. When you get the black screen, does the system actually freeze? If the screen turns black for more than 15 seconds then I suspect it has frozen, although if not, then your system has maybe just changed to a different refresh rate to suit your TV and will (in the blackground of your monitor may be asking you to hold the refresh rate of the new setting.)

**For the best results with TV out, you should be using a TV with a scan capable of 100MHz. Most new more expensive Sony, JVC, Hitachi, Panasonic support this feature.**
