I have used this PC-Chips board for a while now, and have found that ANY driver for it (even if it says DirectX 8 compatible) completely messes up on my games with DX8.
Each new release of driver I try it and have to re-install windows to go back to DX7a. I know it's a bummer but games work brilliantly under the old directx on this board.
Check out for a generic chipset driver, get the WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Lab) version to ensure DX7 full compatibility. DON'T trust the DX8 version yet it doesn't work on this PCChips board!!!
