This AGP card is driving me nuts. For months it has just worked fine but suddenly when I started my computer for another days session my screen reported "No signal"? What has happened? Running my computer with an old PCI 3Dfx card is no problem so there canīt be any problem with my monitor. I went back to the store to test the card in another computer and it worked. A couple of days later I thought lets go for another try. I removed the 3Dfx PCI card and began a first time installation of the PA256 AGP card. Plug and Play recognized the card so I did what the manual told me to do in step 1: Setup standard VGA mode and reboot before running a setup of the actual display card driver in step 2. Following the setup in step 1 my screen told me again that there is "No signal"! To me it seems to be some communication error between the AGP port on my mainboard and the card itself. Several times Iīve tried to remove the card and put it back several times and rebooting in between in order to have PnP recognize the card but PnP seems do recognize it only once. Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Is it possible to test the AGP port without having a card in it?
