: Mine locks up on the internet occasionally as well. I hope that it isn't the Athlon processor.

TRY LOOKING AT:

I'm running an el-cheapo put-it-together-yourself Duron 700 on a Via KT-133 mainboard (i.e., no support) and scrounged a Radeon-based card for a song (the new hot **read that EXPEN$IVE** 8500-based Radeons come-out in a couple of weeks). On replacing my reliable but dull 8MB PCI-based no-name card, I immediately got hang-ups out of the clear-blue and not always reproducibly. According to ATI, VIA, and Microsquish, a lot of VIA KT/KX-133 based motherboards don't have proper AGP support. In other words, there's a bug in the software.

Bottom line: I did what they said and 95% of my problems disappeared!

Now, this worked pretty well for my ATI-based card. I have no idea if this will work for an NVIDIA-based card. But if they're right, this should work for any VIA-based motherboard with an AGP card.

Please post if this works!
