MSI-5169 & Win2000/XP
HI, I don't know whether my problem is Controller-related or not, but it would be kind if someone could help.
Here is my Hardware comfiguration

MSI-5169 v2.1 BIOS flashed to latest version possible
AMD K6-2 333
256 MB Ram
Nvidia Geforce 2 Card
on the first IDE-connector
Western Digital Harddrive 20 GB (Master)
Seagate Harddrive 4 GB (Slave)
on the second IDE-connector
Pioneer DVD 106s

on the Seagate Harddrive i've installed Windows 98, which works alright.
Now when i tried to install Win2000 or XP from CDROM/DVD it is detected but after the first reboot or second reboot when Windows starts its Hardware Assistant no CDRom or DVD is detected. Also after finishing Installation it is not possible to add the Drive. Not sure whether this has sth to do with BIOS-setting or being a windows-related problem
Installing from Harddisk won't work, same problem. Updating my Win98 to XP won't work either; same problem. Please Help!!! thanx and merry christmas
