You have BE6-2 with hpt370 version 1.2? If so flash with the latest BE6-2 2.0 bios and you will get ATA100/RAID! Win2k will work no problem! At least it worked for me as I had the same problem as you have. I even couldnt use my 80GIG HD and now everything works!
