I have WIN98SE and WIN2000Pro set up as dual boot partitions on my harddrive.
I just replaced the UMAX UD-SC11 ISA SCSI card with the Adaptec 2906 SCSI PCI SCSI kit. The 2906 has the same external DB25 connector as the Umax ISA card, uses the same cable. With the supplied Adaptec EZ SCSI drivers, my ASTRA 1200S works perfectly under 98SE. When I boot into the WIN 2000 Pro system partition, SURPRISE! the scanner is also there and works like a charm with Photoshop 6 under WIN2000 Pro.

Good Luck!
Dietrich

: I believe it is possible, as long as you are using a compatible SCSI adapter. The generic ISA adapter that was included with the scanner won't work with w2k, as far as I know. The company that made the generic ISA Adapter (DTC436E) is not supporting it under win2k.

: : I would really like to know if it is possible to make the Umax Astra 1200s work with Windows 2000

: : Would be greatful for a solution!!!!

: : Thanks
