I have the exact same problem!
Win2k detects the drive as "quantum fireball lc1 scsi disk" and it seems slow, though i dont have benchmark numbers

I use an intel 815 board, and the software that comes with it shows that the UDMA setting is only 33 Mhz for the quantum drive.
Its the primary master and there is no primary slave
