'got a little trouble with an old pc using the Intel Mercury/Neptun chipset (i430 NX) and my 2nd IDE-Controller.
Hardware:
chipset i430 NX (Mercury/Neptun)
1st IDE: PCTech RZ1000 Controller, PCI-IDE Controller
2nd IDE: ???, seemingly ISA-IDE
1st HDD Master on 1st IDE
2nd HDD Master on 2nd IDE
CD-Rom Slave on 2nd IDE
At DOS-Mode all drives will recognized well, i can use it all, but in Win98SE, my CD-Rom device is _not_ recognized, i can't use my 2nd HDD. Driver proposed of Windows: "PCTech PCI IDE Dual or Single Port Controller", recognized well, marked as working (in all channel modes). But there a problems with 1st and 2nd IDE Controller (Dual FIFO), marked as not working proberly, and the same problem with my Soundblaster IDE-Controller
