I have a computer which has a DVD-ROM (Toshiba SD-M1402). This drive is the only hardware connected with an IDE-controller. The harddrive uses SCSI.
My Problem is now that the PC doesn't detect this drive properly - it's more randomly. I.e. when I changed the controller untill I boot my PC the next time. The Toshiba-homepage says that it doesn't need any special driver.
The System Manager (Win 98) shows no conflicts.
May a new controller driver solve this problem? Where can I find one and where can I see which one I actually need? May the SCSI HD cause any problems?
Thanks a lot beforehand for answering
