If you want to use HDD bigger than your m/b supports the best ( and safest way ) is to install Disk Manager for your specific HDD. BIOS upgrade is an option but you take some chances ;)

About GeForce. I think there is an on-board VGA card on M726 so make sure you've specified VGA to boot from sequence. GeForce maybe more picky than TNT in this case. Battery is not the problem.
