Hello, i have just bought myself a IBM Deskstar 61.5GB hdd with 7200rpm and UDMA100.
After buying the right cable for it(66/100), i have plugged this hdd as slave under my other one, a seagate with 5400rpm and 17.2gb, running at UDMA66.I have got K7s5A mainboard from ECS, with drivers from 07/24/2001. Both hdd are at the same cable, but weird wise the older one, the seagate is damn slow, only 3.5mb/s and the new one the IBM gives up to 15mb/s.
But why is that so? What can i do? where are the problems? I have heard that the hdd speeds with ATA100 go up to 100mb/s! :( I want this to be changed, please help me!
Grettings!
