I have a new shuttle KT266A mainboard (BIOS set to use UDMA100), a 80pin cable correctly connected, WinXP (the Device Manager Primary Channel set to use DMA if available, but says using PIO mode), and a Quantum Fireball AS 40 drive (only jumper is set to use CS -- cable select -- which is Master).
While it is a newer drive, it used to be used in an old system. Is it using PIO still because it was formatted in such a manner on that older system?
