i have a Maxtor D740X and a new motherboard Gigabyte 7DXR+ .In Windows XP says that is working in multiword DMA mode 2 and drive speed is no more than 15000 kb/sec .Shouldn't it be at least 30 MB/sec and in Ultra DMA mode 5? Ive tried settings in BIOS ,downloaded VIA IDE drivers(and the system CRASHED!!!!!,installed again windows) but at last NOTHING. PLZ HELP!!
