"Thank you Abit for creating such useless products."

It's NOT limited to Abit nor their fault.

Way too many people are too quick to jump on the first logo they see and are unaware or ignore the complexity of hardware delivery and compatibility through 2-3 levels of vendors and OSs.

It's an issue with whether or not HighPoint created a Windows-legit driver or BIOS extension that does not violate the Windows HAL, and whether they decide to recreate the driver or BIOS for XP. Obviously Microsoft found a serious problem in the driver structure or hardware, or HighPoint just said "screw it" - not uncommon for lower level technology providers to abandon their customers - and thus us users.

: : Update on the problem, now that Microsoft has changed its install procedures, I can't even start the installation due to a "Blocking Error"

: : Look at this:

: : : Hello all,

: : : Well, the ABIT BE6 problems continue.

: : : Well, surprise the ABIT doesn't have any XP drivers.
: : : Surprise once again, the highpoint site doesn't have any XP drivers either.

: : : I tried using NT4 and Win2K drivers, but to no avail.
: : : If I don't use the F6 option, I get an error saying

: I've got the same problem. Messed with the storage controllers and now Win98 won't even boot. Thank you Abit for creating such useless products.
