i have the same problem and searched on the web for solutions. One person said to go to control panel/device manager\disk drives\ and uninstall the generic 46 Hard disk drive. Then reboot and it will install it which solved his problem. I tried that but didn't have one listed in the list on control panel.

Another person suggested the following which solved my problem.- first make sure u know where the standard dual pci ide controller driver is on ur hard drive or download one from driverguide. copy down its name. then go to the windows/inf directory and remove the file mshdc.inf from the directory. then go to control panel system and device manager and hard drive controllers and remove the sis 5513 device. it should then ask u to restart windows, click yes and restart. It should then find the primary device and then go thru the install and you select install the standard pci dual pci ide controller driver that u found earlier.

it should also give u the option to reinstall the SIS 5513 driver- i didn't do that, so i don't know if reinstalling it would have solved the problem.
