: my 24102B CD-RW doesn't work well. at boot sequence the abit BX6v2 can't detect it. the LED shines durable.
: after rejumping or port-/cable-change the drive will be detected but the tray is open all the time. it doesn't accept any cd.
: what's that kind of problem? how can I get rid of it?

Did you reprogram the FLASH ? (otherwise known as upgrading the firmware) ? If something went wrong during this process then this will cause the problem you describe .

Sometimes (if you are lucky) either it will be covered under warranty , or the drive will have a "reset" jumper (note that it is not documented in the manual on 90% of drives) . I am not sure on your drive but on the LiteOn series there are four pins on the far left side of the drive (near the master/slave jumpers) - some people have said that one combination resets the flash to factory default . Standard disclaimers apply !!!!! :)
Go for the warranty option first, the jumpers are really the last resort ! (see below)

*NOTE* If you decide to do this it is entirely at your own risk . For safety, disconnect the IDE cable so only power is applied to the drive, in case it does something weird like pull all the ide outputs high (sometimes this is a test function) .
