I have the same problem. I have upgraded the the controller to 1.25.1 on the Abit site.
Microsoft supposedly has a fix on their knowledgebase site. They say that in the registry Ultra Dma is disabled automatically. To enable it follow their instructions.
Go to Microsoft and tyle in "UDMA66" that should get you there. By the way it works sometimes not all the time...FRUSTRATING....: I am having the same problem... the only differince is that i have the conntrollers on board... not in a card. But they are the same. HPT66. I have talked to tech support and found that you have to get ver1.25 BIOS for the controller which you can find on the site. use adwflash.exe to do the flash. I have done this and have had no luck, but mabe with a card you will have more luck than I.
