How many pins does your scanner cable have?

You simply need a card with an external connecter that matches your cable (unless you want to buy another cable). Cables can be half the cost of a cheap card.

Adaptec 2906 is a PCI card with an internal 50 pin connector and has a 25 pin external connector (same configuration as a printer port) that works with my Microtec E6 scanner. Card has no bios (so I can't boot from attached drives) and costs about $45-$60. You can buy a cheaper card from DTC, Advansys, others, etc. but may not find one with the appropriate external connector (which means you have to buy a cable).

Hope this helps, e-mail if you have questions.

: I upgrated my old pc but I bought a Motherboard without any ISA, and I don't have an Adapter like SYM20402 to plug my hp scanner to this, where can I buy an functionally adapter.
