This is my first attempt at using a SCSI hard drive. I have a ABIT LX6 motherboard with a Tekram DC-315U SCSI adapter(No Bios). The hard drive is a Seagate ST15230WC. I boot from a Win 98 disk to get to an a:\ prompt. I then try using the Tekram utility disk. The utility finds both the adapter and the hard drive. The next step(I think!) is to try installing the ASPI driver which TFDISK needs to partition the drive. How and where do I install the driver? The default location it tries to install it is C:\DC3X5. But I get an error message saying that the install fails. I tried using an IDE hard drive with the SCSI to get a location to install the ASPI driver. THis worked. The driver installed on the IDE drive. After re-booting I tried partitioning the SCSI hard drive but got an error message saying it no SCSI hardware found or ASPI driver not found. I've tried all the jumper pin combinations( Again, I think I have). The Tekram utility has a program giving specific info about the adapter and hard drive.By default the adapter is ID 7 and the hard drive was ID1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
