Sir have you got any valuable information about interfacing of IDE and parallel port.

Please send me a mail

: : I have seen external parallel kits for addon external hard drives or CD-ROMs. I understand these kits use standard ide drives. I was wondering if anyone out there knows what the pinout is for a 40 PIN IDE Interface to 25 PIN Parallel Port.

: It's not just a cable - the kit contains a board with the interface circuit on it (usually one chip and a few small components) and driver software for windows etc.
