Just the opposite. If you have downloaded a driver for your hard disc from the manufacturer of the driver or if you are using a third-party driver, you must go in and DE-select "use Apple drivers" in the options part of the install dialogue box with OS9. Otherwise, it will tell you the driver is not supported.
