I downloaded this driver for ava-2904 from Adaptec's web site:
(ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/scsi/windows/7800w9x.exe)
It is a zip self-extracting file. I used the file for my ava-2903b card and was able to install my scsi external cdwriter and it worked file. (I used ez-scsi.) I have, by the way, windows 98.

p.s. The readme file contained within states that it can be used with ava-2903.
