I had to recently re-install windows due to a hard disk failure and now the SD-R1002 won't see DVDs.
If I put a CD, CDRW etc in, it can read and write just fine.
When I load a DVD the LED flashes for almost a min and then goes solid and gives up trying to read the disk.

This is with every DVD I have. It isn't windows, this is a drive issue but can't figure out what is wrong.

Toshiba says "Well its an old unit" and then suggest that since it is out of waranty I shouldn't expect it to work and maybe should buy a new unit.

This has worked for years without trouble and now since installing windows it even load a dvd.

Help!
