I have an old computer. Had hoped to get it up and running to let a neighbor use it. I have the motherboard manual, identified as PC100 SystemBoard, Socket 7, PM-9100D user's manual. No driver CD.
I am hoping someone may have drivers.
On board video was OK, I was having trouble getting a Best Data 56x2 modem to work (I have the driver for that), and Windows 98SE did not shut down properly --- it would stop on the screen "Windows is shutting down," one step shy of the safe-to-turn-off screen.
I wiped the hard drive and re-installed Windows 98SE. Now the video is using the standard VGA driver from Microsoft, 16 colors and 640x480 resolution. Still the problem with Windows shutdown. I might add, Windows restarted and still restarts without a hitch. Only hangs on shutdown.
CD contains, according to the book, D:\VGA\M571LMR\VGA as the path to the video device driver.
Has 64 meg of RAM, of which 4 meg is used by the onboard video. Also a 2.5G hard drive and a 514M HD and CD.
Anybody needs information from the book I can help, as I hope someone can help with my drivers.
