I'm trying to upgrade the BIOS after the 1009 version, which hangs on boot. However, even with all drives disconnected the system still hangs. Any ideas how to get the computer to boot from floppy so I can install 1010.004?

: December 10, 2003: I got a P2L97 rev. 1.05 board off eBay. BIOS version was 1005. Tried to upgrade to 1009 with AFLASH.EXE, but it would not recognize the flash memory. Tried PFLASH.EXE; upgraded, but the boot would hang if a hard drive was connected. Disconnected all HDD, got it to boot, but BIOS would hang if I tried to change the HDD BIOS settings. Downloaded version 1010.004 beta. Loaded with PFLASH. System works fine. Good luck!

: : I "was" just about to upgrade mine but you all have me too nervous to try it.
