Hi Kevin,

I had a similar problem. I located an updated BIOS (1.00.07.CP0R release 7.0 Thousand Oaks) at the following location:

BIOS now correctly detects the Processor speed as 233Mh.

Note: Contrary to the instructions at the web site, when extracted to floppy the diskette is not bootable. You need to make it bootable (using DOS '>sys a:' command from your C drive etc), or as I did, boot from another floppy, then insert the BIOS disk and run the utility.

Hope this info is of help, and good luck.

By the way this has'nt solved all my problems. I still cannot get the PC to boot from CDROM even though the BIOS supports this.

Also, my son wants Windows 2000 or XP since he uses these at school, and I have not been able to get beyond the initial installation stage ... the PC locks up when trying to load 2000/XP (

Windows 95 & 98 install OK, and I have also been able to install Linux Mandrake 9.2, but since 2K/XP is required, I am stuck. Any ideas, suggestions will be most welcome.
