my BIOS/CMOS won't recognize my hard drive. I'm trying to install a 4GB hard drive. The BIOS/CMOS is set to AUTO detect the hard drive. I had a 1.6GB hard drive. I took the 1.6GB dirve out, plugged the 4GB in and restarted. The BIOS/CMOS won't see the drive. I tried to reinstall the old drive but can't get the BIOS/CMOS to see it either.

When the pc starts up this is what I see.
In the upper left hand corner of the screen it reads...
Award Modular BIOS v4.60PG, An Energy Star Ally
Copyright (C) 1984-98, Award Software, Inc.
Version 1.15IN137
Intel Celeron-MMX CPU at 400MHz

In the bottom left hand corner of the screen it reads...
02/05/1999-i440LX(EX)-2A69JF09C-00

On the CPU chip on the motherboard it reads...
AWARD, PCI PNP 686
SN 142686298 (C)1998

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get my BIOS/CMOS to see the hard drive. I would prefer to use the 4GB one since there's more space on it.
Sara
