: I have bought a couple of years ago a PC with the motherboard etc. installed, the mbo is as far as I know a PC Chips i430TX, but now comes the problem. I recently bought myself SDRAM 100MHz 64MB, in the brochure it says that it would be OK. My dealer said the same, 100MHz should work on a 66MHz mbo, NOT.
: Where can I find new BIOS Updates??????

: Please contact me on my e-mail address.

: Thanks.
You have a memory incompatibility problem, probably a chipset limit. BIOS update will not fix it.

PC133 and PC100 memory SHOULD be backward compatible with PC66 memory - as long as you do not exceed the chipset limits. Generally, you have a maximum onboard memory limit, a MBytes per memory stick limit and a bit density limit (Mbits per chip) for the chips on the stick. Check your mainboard manual - some PC Chips memory tables are confusing until you figure them out. Generally sticks with most chips (16) are more likely to work.

If you need a manual, identify your mainboard and find the manual at:
