: I have a Western Digital 40 GIG HD that my bios only recognized as a 32 Gig.

: I have the EZBIOS utility running to allow recognition of all 40 GIG - one problem - Windows ME only sees 32 GIG.

: I have a SOYO board and their site just directs me to the AWARD site for updates.

: I tried to update my Award BIOS but since they were bought out - I now have to pay for the update if I want it.

: The BIOS info is as follows:
: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
: Award ID-String : 08/03/1999-VP3-586B-8669-2A5LES2AC-00 (2A5LE VIA Apollo(M)VP3 Chipset)
: 2A5LES2AC-00: Soyo SY-5EHM
: Board/BIOS-Version : EH-1CA2
: Chipset : VP3-586B-8669 //VIA ApolloVP3 (597)

: Any help would be Greatly Appreciated.

I would suggest partitoning the drive into 2 20 gig partions. Partiton magic will do this with no problem. The problem you have is not with WinMe it is the motherboard. The board is a couple of years old and was never meant to support 40 gig drives.
