I have a Chaintech 5TDM motherboard with Award
Modular BIOS V4.51PG.

I have presently used up all of the SIMM sockets with
32Mb of memory. I would now like to scrap this and
replace it with 128Mb in one of the DIMM sockets.

However, on looking at the manual, the maximum memory cards it recommends is 32Mb. I suspect that this is because the computer is a number of years old and those were the typical memory sizes available at that time.

I have checked with the original computer supplier and they say that I can add the size of memory I want, but the BIOS might need to be updated.

I'm a bit wary of messing about with my BIOS, so does anyone know if the version of the BIOS I have will support the use of a 128Mb DIMM?
