I have two mother boards a Abit BE62 and an Asus p2b-d motherboard's. I know that the abit only has one slot 1 onboard but in the bios it has room
for dual prossesors, and I don't really like the Asus bios because you have to set the cpu speed with the jumpers and I have to either over clock or under clock my cpu's because I am running dual 750MHz pentium 3's and can only clock them at 700MHz or 793MHz not at there true speed of 750MHz. But in the abit I can get it at the exact speed of the prossesor. So I have taken out the Award PCI/PNP 686 228300646 out of the abit board and I want to exchange it with the Asus p2b-d
Award bios chip, they boulth come out of the motherboard really easy and if I exchange them will I get the kind of bios I want on the Asus p2b-d or will It blow the inter board?? I don't care what happens to the abit but I am conserned about the Asus dual motherboard. Is it even possible to replace Award 1998 PCI/PNP 686 bios with another??? Is that why the chips are easy to remove or is there a nuther purpose behind this?? please help O' wise Technitions I need your help!! please e-mail me at Mr-Cosmos@msn.com
Thanks a million.
