Is there a way to just reset the bios so the computer will boot properly? I tried using the reset settings in CMOS but did not work. The machine starts up, finds the CD, the just hangs when it hits the hard disk. The disk is good. I think I screwed up some settings in CMOS though. I just want to get a base setting and start over. IT has an AMD-K6-2/400 processor. Bios date 4/16/99. Quantum Fireball Hard disk 3.5 series. I was looking for the bios ID string where it should be located and all I saw next to the date on the first boot screen is -ALADDIN5->-00. I just wanted to get it booting properly! Email me directly.
