I recently fried my BIOS chip (29EE010) on my PC-Chips M710. It seems to have overwritten even the boot block on the BIOS as I don't get floppy seek on reboot, just a lot of depressing fan noise. Does the flash process program the boot sector, or does it only download to the data area. I ask because I may try a hot-swap flash on a similar board if I think it'll work. Must salvage some professional dignity ....
