: Hi folks!
: I got an Asus TX97-E with the Intel 430TX Chipset.
: I just bought a 60 Go HD from Seagate, which isn't recognize by the BIOS (award).
: Seagate told i need a BIOS date from January 200 at least for my HD to be recognize. But the problem is that I can't found such a BIOS on the Net.
: Does Someone got an idea to help me?

: Thanks

If you haven't already done so, look for BIOS update at:

If no BIOS update to fix your problem just get an ATA/66 card - it will support HDDs up to about 128 GB and it will be faster than the sustained data transfer rate of the fastest IDE diak drives on the market. You can use an ATA/33 card (a little lower cost) or an ATA/100 card (double the cost) if you can't find ATA/66 - ATA/33 will be almost as fast as your HDD.

Good Luck,
