Hi,
I have a Flash Rom Utility Disk (ExpertBoard)
It came with my PC that was given to me as a gift.
I am fairly curious and always reading up on information about technical monster jargon.
I have: Pentium MMX 200 64ram
OS Windows 98SE

Program: Unicore Chip Detect v0.56 1999.12.30
BIOS Date: 12/23/96
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 12/23/96-i430VX-2A59GD0BC-00
Chipset: Intel Triton 430VX rev 2

Question: What will flashing my bios with the above information do to it?
I need input(smile)
Will it make it compatable with future cpu's or other components?
Will performance be affected? (If so,,enlighten me)
Have you a weblink of process to flash my PC?

Obviously my xfriend had this disk for a reason.
After having to reformat my c drive and add an extra drive, reinstalling my OS from Windows 95 to Windows 98SE I wondered if I am meant to FLASH as well?

Looking forward to your input!
Sincerely
Veronica
