: I run AWDFLASH and I get a checksum: 1Ba4H message and the system hangs. I'm certain that I have the right upgrade file for mobo version 1.1. I got it from Shuttles website. The system still works fine, just with the old BIOS. Anybody?

Sounds like awdflash IS NOT flashing the BIOS (good news, if it were you would probably need to reset all of your CMOS settings.

Are you using the right version of the flasher (there are several)?

Are you following Shuttle's instructions EXACTLY? That is, make a bootable floppy and copy the new BIOS and the flasher to it and create the autoexec.bat file as prescribed. You must not use a config.sys or load and drivers such as HIMEM.

Is the checksum awdflash reports thye old BIOS checksum or is it supposed to be the new?

Maybe try downloading the BIOS again - if you have the right update it may be corrupted.

Pllease post more detailed explanation of what you have done, how and the EXACT results.

Good Luck,
Henry
