Hi.. I`m having a problem with my laptop reading a new 10gig harddrive. The BIOS is a systemSoft Bios and it reads the harddrve as only 8gig, which Im assuming is the max I can get. I`m happy with that.. Problem is. If I set the harddrive in the BIOS setting to the standard setting,, it will boot fine but theres only 10megs available so thats not exactly much use to me for installing Windows. If I set it too AUTO ID, it reads at 8gig but.. it wont boot, either says Disk I/O error or just freezes after the memory check. Its driving me nuts. Before I had a 1.3gig drive so Im wondering maybe the bios only allows me to use a 1.3 gig :(. I`ve taken 2 piccies of the setting in Standard and AUTO ID. Is that Landing Zone, write precomp anything to do with this, or has anyone had similar problems. Its impossible to find an updated Bios as its a feb 97 laptop.

Kind Regards
