: award modular bios v4.51pg
: Bios ID: 03/23/99 SIS P5SS MEOC 00

Probably the best way for you to get large HDD support is to use an ATA/66 card. It will support HDDs up to about 128 GB.

I don't recognize your BIOS ID String. You should look for a BIOS update (UNLIKELY to support 80 GB HDD, but TRY anyway) on the mainboard maker's web site. Identify your mainboard maker and model by following the motherboard ID article at:
http://www.pcnineoneone.com

When you find the mainboard maker - make CERTAIN that you get the EXACT BIOS update for your mainboard and READ the BIOS Release Notes very carefully. If support for 80 GB or larger HDDs is not mentioned then there is NOTHING TO GAIN and your BIOS to corrupt if you "update" your BIOS anyway. If you "update" with the wrong (not EXACTLY right) you will corrupt your BIOS. (PCs with corrupt BIOS rarely boot and when they do boot they don't run right).

Good Luck,
Henry
