: Anyone has a bios-file for the Yakumo motherbord P686LX with a 440LX chipset? It is an AMI-bios

: The complete string during startup is :
: 61-012A-04500-00111111-071595-440LX-PPLX012A-H

: Thanx

If you are lucky your mainboard was made by someone else (Yakumo use mainboards made by others such as AOpen and ASUS); 4500 would be the maker number but it is not in my (old) list; all numbers >2000 are supposed to be USA makers.

MAYBE AMI can help. Download their mainboard ID program and run it to ID your mainboard maker:

If AMI's program does not solve your problem just follow the motherboard ID article (tells ALL!) at:

Post again if you cannot find a BIOS update - there are usually good work arounds to accomplish what you need to do.

Good Luck,
