: : : Hi all. I have big problem. I've got a MB P6VBX2 - Lucky Tech Rev. 1.4 Award BIOS v4.51PG; VIA Apollo BX2 Rev:A 10/20/1998-692-596-W977-2A6LGSH9C-00.
: : : I can't find BIOS upgrade for this desk. I bought 40GB HDD and it don't want to know this HDD. Thank you for any information.

: : Lucky Tech seems to have had bad luck; I think they are gone. The only place I know with Lucky Tech info posted is:
: :

: : BIOS update (if any) may only support HDDs up to 32 GB. If BIOS update doesn't help - just use an ATA/66 card - it will support HDDs up to about 128 GB. You can pay more for ATA/100 or ATA/133 but you won't see much speed difference (HDD is the speed limiter, NOT the interface card).

: : Good Luck,

: I've visited yet, but I can't find right update for P6VBX2. You're right, LuckyTech support is very bed. I found a mirror on page
: But drivers, which are there can't be downloaded.

: Thank you Henry

Thanks for the mirror site.

The ATA/66 card is a very good fix if you can't find a good BIOS update. I expect you know it already, but BE CAREFUL with any BIOS "update" - if you use the wrong BIOS update you will need to recover your corrupt BIOS.

Good Luck,
