You have two very good options for getting large IDE HDD support. The quickest, surest, safest way is to use an ATA/66 expansion card - it will support HDDs up to about 128GB. If your HDD has a sustained data transfer rate of more than 66 MB/sec then you MIGHT benefit from a faster card.

A BIOS update, IF AVAILABLE, is the other good way to get large HDD support. You should look for a BIOS update at the mainboard maker's web site. You will need to know your mainboard maker, model number and maybe the mainboard version. If you need to figure out what you have just follow the motherboard ID article at:
