I have exactly the same problem. I am trying to install a Maxtor 40GB hard drive on the same motherdboard.

On the Maxtor web site, I found a "FALSE" solution there you set the jumper a different way than the usual so the motherboard would accept the hard drive but NOT IT DID NOT WORK.

Another "FALSE" solution is to install a little piece of software called "jumpon" that supposedly eliminates the 32gb barrier on the motherboard but NOT IT DID NOT WORK. Worse yet, when I tried to get my old 10 Gb hard drive that shipped with SONY to work, IT WONT BOOT!! So BE CAREFUL to mess around with BIOS upgrade.

I am in a big mess now.

I'll post an update later. I'd appreciate any follow-up on this from anyone.
