If there was no BIOS update on Gigabyte's web site then there is NO FREE UPDATE; Unicore will make a custom BIOS for you (expensive):
http://www.unicore.com

If you need support for large HDDs just use an ATA/66 card (about $20 USD) that supports HDDs up to about 128GB. DO NOT EVER "update" your BIOS unless the "update" will fix a problem you have or will give you a feature you REQUIRE. If you decide to proceed, READ and FOLLOW the mainboard maker's update instructions.

DO NOT try to "fix" it if it ain't ALREADY broke.

Hope this helps,
Henry
