: Bios Infos:
: BIOS Date: 08/21/98
: BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
: BIOS ID: 08/21/1998-i440BX-W977TF-2A69KL1AC
: BIOS Eval: #AD3-05
: Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 2
: Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h
: 3 SDRAM slots

: I`ve got 2*64 Mb sdram pc100. Now I want to buy a 512Mb sdram pc133 module.
: In the board specification, it says that it can accept only 384 Mb Sdram and 768 Mb Edo.
: In every slot (as I experimented) it accept only 256Mb Sdram.
: Q: Is there any way to instal all my Sdram`s in this board? May an BIOS upgrade solve this situation?
: Thanx, and excuse my poor english.

Sorry to tell you, but memory capacity is a chipset limit; BIOS update will not help. You will need to get smaller modules. Usual chipset limits are speed (66/100/133 MHz), Maximum memory capacity (384MB SDRAM or 768MB EDO), maximum MBytes per DIMM and maximum Mbits per chip on each DIMM.

It appears that you probably have three DIMM slots (384/3=128 and 768/3=256) meaning you could use 3x128MB SDRAM or 3x256MB EDO. Your PC may not post if you use 2x256MB SDRAMs.

Hope this helps,
