: I found the manual, but there is no Company Name for the motherboard. The title of the user's manual is: PCI Bus And ISA Bus Pentium Mainboad With PCI IDE & Multi I/O.

Your mainboard was probably made by a board maker and sold by one of many resellers, possibly under their name. PC Chips is a board maker who does this. You can try to id your board as a PC Chips board (highly probable if "PC100" or PC133 shows up on the manual cover (probably the back of the manual). PC Chips mobo id:

If this is a PC Chips mobo be careful. There are more than 6 likely possibilities and most of them look alike to me (there are some very subtle differences - be an eagle eye).

If not PC Chips, read your BIOS Identity String (Last line on screen while memory counts up) and go to one or more of these:

http://www.motherboards.org/moboidtools.html
http://www.ami.com/support/mbid.html
http://www.ping.be/bios
http://www.unicore.com

Still no luck? Try the FCC-ID. There is a picture and a link at:
http://www.abcdrivers.com

Regarding BIOS update - not very likely to get a recent update - probably no more recent than '97 or '98 - probably 8.4 GB HDD, possibly up to 32 GB. Look for alternate means to work around BIOS limitations (above board BIOS at about $35, others).

Good Luck,
Henry
