I have a Gateway Pentium Pro 200 with an Intel Venus motherboard, [running with NT4(SP6.5)128mb]
The final Gateway/Intel OEM bios for this board is version 11. (10.11.cs1t) They aren't doing any more.
The latest Intel non-OEM bios for this board is version 18.(10.18.cs1)
Is it feasible to install the Intel version 18?
The upside should mean recognition of 64mb memory chips amongst other things.
I understand that I would not be able to re-install version 11 if it went wrong, as bios upgrades are always add-ons. Is this correct?
