: in the process of trying to flash my bios (since my computer had become unstable) i completely messed it up and now all i get is a message that tells me to insert a system disk in the A: drive. the problem is that my A: drive is not working well. is there someone i can buy a replacement flash rom with bios?
: any other suggestions would be really helpful.thanks!

First, try to recover your BIOS - it is quicker and cheaper than a new BIOS chip. There is a very good article on corrupt BIOS recovery at:

A new FDD is less than $20 and easy to change, but its problems may be the BNIOS and not the FDD.

If you want a programmed BIOS chip you can get a new one or gget your old one reprogrammed at:

Good Luck,
