Dear Sirs,
I have experienced some problem with the graphics card. Particularly, after succesful install of any game, the screen "freezes"\"locks up" two seconds after starting the game, so that I don't have the time to click "play" and then I have to restart the system. It seems as the system runs out of memory in few seconds after running every game. The card is "Hercules 3D Prophet II MX" (GeForce2 MX chipset) and the motherboard QDI Advance 10F v2.0 (Via Apollo Pro-133A). I was adviced by Guillemot Tech Support to update the driver which I did, without any result. Then, they adviced me to update the bios and AGP port of the motherboard. I would be grateful if you could inform me about:
1)your opinion to solve this problem
2)if upgrade is necessary (please let me know if you have confirmed in other cases this uncompatibility between the specific card and the motherboard)
3)the proper file(s) I need to upgrade properly (bios and AGP) and also the instructions for this procedure (please note that I am not familiar with this procedure)
My system is Intel 866MHz, 128MB(133MHz) RAM, 30GB HD, sound card Soundblaster 128 PCI running Windows 98SE, McAfee 4.0.3 and DirectX 8.Thank you beforehand for your valuable support.
P.S.How can I find out the bios version of my motherboard? It's too quick to read it in the bootscreen. Is there any other way?
