Find your compaq support at the compaq web site:
http://www.compaq.com

compaq PCs are a little different in a lot of ways. As your PC is booting up it should flash a solid block in the upper right corner of the screen. You can enter CMOS Setup with F10 (I think) ONLY while the block is blinking. compaq stashes setup, BIOS and diagnostics in a non-DOS partition. If your HDD has been changed you may not get the blinking block. The compaq Setup or Diagnostic diskette should build the partition for you - otherwise use the dislettes to get into CMOS Setup - should be covered in the manual or in files on the diskettes.

Good Luck,
Henry
